Beck’s Blue seems to have taken the place of Kaliber as the most widely available alcohol free lager in the UK. There is a good reason too because when you compare them side by side Beck’s wins hands down.
It is a fresh pale lager with a bitter bite. Easy drinking on a night out and nicely they have kept the look of the bottle very similar to standard Beck’s. While that may not be important to some people it did seem to score a lot of points with the people we spoke to.
While it is not the best alcohol free lager available, it is not bad at all. Easy to find and a hit with most people who have tried it.

I don’t think there is much wrong with Kaliber, at least you get better value for money by volume. It’s just a shame that you don’t see it on tap more.
Becks blue is nice though.
We agree Alan, it would be nice to see more alcohol free lager on tap.
WHY cant i find a pub that sells alcohol free beer on tap. or that actually stocks becks blue???
i live in torquay if anyone knows of one please let me know
I haven’t drank alcohol for two months now, the aim is to keep going.
I find Becks Blue is much more satisfying than any other alcohol free lager I’ve tried and think that’s mainly due to the bitter taste.
I did think that I’d just drink soft drinks but actually there is more to the pleasure of an alcoholic drink than just the alcohol and if that more can be captured that’s grest, as then I only have to give up the alcohol.
Steve
Well said steve. I find I still need to have that sharp after taste and bitter bite. You certianly get that with the Becks Blue. I have found over time the tastes of the non alcoholic beers get stonger the more you lay off the alcohol. Your tastes change! Have you tried the Bitburger Drive? This has a stong flavour if your after that strong beery taste.
Visit the alcohol free shop or a good pub that sells real ales should stock this 1?
All the best
